Fans of the highly anticipated ‘Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ will finally get a sneak peek of the film, as the first trailer is “on the cusp of being released”.
Collider has reported that the trailer will be aired before all screenings of the upcoming Warner Bros film ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, which will be released in Australia on May 14.
Although filming finished in December of last year, Warner Bros. have chosen to wait until May in the hope that the hype will have died down from the release of the second official trailer of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. Also highly awaited by fans, the trailer intends to be released during a Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, California, which is being held from April 16 to April 19.
Collider has also reported that another reason to not release the trailer immediately is to wait until ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ has been released, so that the ‘Batman v Superman’ blockbuster will have the full undivided attention of fans.
The film itself is due to be released in 2016 and will star Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jesse Eisenburg as Lex Luthor, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jeremy Irons as Batman’s butler, Alfred.
Leading this stellar cast is director Zach Snyder, who is no stranger to the superhero industry. Snyder previously directing epic films such as Watchmen and Man of Steel, and will also be involved as director or producer in the upcoming films Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and Justice League that are due to air in 2016 and 2017.
