The new Star Wars films have been marred with controversy since it¡¯s announcement ¨C and have been the subject of many rumours ever since ¨C but finally, an official announcement has put the rumours to rest. In an uncharacteristic move, the title of the film was revealed in a tweet from the official movie Twitter account, and the news that principal filming has been wrapped. What¡¯s the title? Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.

Little is known about the plot of the film, but what is known is that the JJ Abrams-directed film features a new cast made up of Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong¡¯o and Oscar Isaac, with cameos from original cast members Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Mark Hammill (Luke Skywalker).

Shedding more light on the plot was a leaked set picture showed Adam Driver wearing an X-Wing fighter pilot¡¯s uniform. It was previously rumoured that he would be playing a villian, but with this revelation, he may be fighting for the force.
