Superheroes are having a TV Renaissance, with Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) joining the likes of The Flash, Green Arrow, and the Agents of SHIELD in getting his story brought to TV¡­and we¡¯ve got your first look! Netflix have just released the first trailer for the ¡®Daredevil¡® series and even in the short clip, it¡¯s clear that it¡¯s far superior to the forgettable (read: horrible) Ben Affleck-led films.

Starring British actor Charlie Cox, the 13 episode series will follow Matt, who was blinded as a boy but gifted with extraordinarily heightened senses, and his vigilante alter ego, Daredevil. Fighting injustice by day a tough-talking lawyer, before he takes on the city¡¯s crime world by night as a masked vigilante.

Released in the same way as other Netflix hits like Orange Is The New Black, all 13 episodes of the series will premiere on the same day, April 10, just after the video on demand streaming service is released in Australia.

Aside from Cox, the cast boasts talent like Rosario Dawson, Deborah Ann Woll and Vincent D¡¯Onofrio. No stranger to fantasy worlds, Spartacus co-creator Steven S. DeKnight is overseeing the series as the show runner.
