In between wrapping up a major Australian tour this month, (and dodging Taylor Swift relationship rumours in the tabloids) Matt Healy and his group, The 1975, are ready to get back into the studio, promising fans will get new music from them this year.

In an interview with Music Feeds, frontman Matt said that the band have locked in studio time to record their sophomore record, with hopes that the first single will be released in late 2015, with the the forthcoming album following shortly after.

While the self-titled debut was ¡°all about the rain¡±, the concept for the next one ¡°is about not being in the rain and doing whatever¡ you want in the sun¡±, explained Matt in the interview.

The UK indie four piece gained commercial and critical praise for the 2013 debut record, as well as finding a fan in Tay-Tay and influential radio DJ, Zane Lowe, and earned a spot of many end-of-year best of 2014 lists and well as spots on sold-out tours like Coachella and iTunes Festival.
