American punk rockers The Gaslight Anthem have been confirmed for a national tour in 2015, much to the delight of fans left wanting more after their spirited 2013 Soundwave Festival performances.

The New Jersey four-piece are set to hit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide in January/February of next year, after releasing their latest record Get Hurt in August to expectant listeners.

Australian fans have kept a close eye on Gaslight¡¯s movements and upcoming gigs in the country, and were buzzing with anticipation after band front man Brian Fallon revealed in an interview earlier this year that February of 2015 would be a likely time for their next visit.

Upon rumours the group would be back for another round of Soundwave fun next season, promoter AJ Maddah confirmed that a stand-alone tour would be more likely.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine earlier this year, Fallon stated that the band hopes to inspire fans with their new sound on album Get Hurt. ¡°It¡¯s completely different than anything we had ever done before,¡± he said. ¡°Instead of going that extra step of just adding some organ or some background vocals, this time we actually really changed up a lot of the sounds¡±.

With Gaslight¡¯s previous tour tickets selling out super fast, avid fans best be ready for 17th October when sales go live.
