A series of hints dropped by the Seattle rock-outfit The Foo Fighters, indicates that you¡¯ll be seeing them Downunder ¡®sooner than you think¡¯.

With the band¡¯s much-anticipated release of the music documentary Sonic Highways nearing (as well as their eighth studio album of the same name), Australian fans are itchier than ever to catch another glimpse of the legends on stage.

Announcing via their social media pages that Australian residents could now purchase an iTunes pass to a weekly download of their series, the five-piece ensemble left a stirring sign off for eager fans.

¡°Can¡¯t wait to see you ¨C it¡¯s sooner than you think, xoxo,¡± wrote the post-grunge musicians.

This is the second indication this year that the boys are keen to head back to Australian shores; writing in May that it¡¯d been ¡°WAYYY too long¡± and we ¡°might never know where/when the Foo¡¯s may showing up¡±, which was also shared by promoters Frontier Touring.

Earlier in the year, a report in the Adelaide Advertiser rumoured the group were in talks to perform at an upcoming high-exposure concert, possibly with The Rolling Stones (which was originally scheduled for April 2014). With the Stone¡¯s postponed Australian concerts taking place later this month, no further word has been heard of a surprise Foo Fighter appearance and the fate of Foo fans continues to hang in the balance; but all will be revealed soon enough.
