Sony Music has confirmed that Dublin pop rock outfit The Script will return to Australia this October for an exclusive promotional tour.

The trio, comprised of Danny O¡¯Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power, will take the stage at Sydney¡¯s Metro Theatre on Tuesday October 14 for a special set, as well as a brief stint at Melbourne¡¯s Caulfield Guineas Day.

¡°Our Australian fans have been behind us from the very beginning,¡± said frontman Danny O¡¯Donoghue. ¡°We can¡¯t wait to come back and see everyone again in one of our favorite countries!¡±

Although the band are single-handedly responsible for some of the biggest tracks of the last decade, the tour comes in celebration of their forthcoming studio album, No Sound Without Silence, which is due out September 12 through Sony Music.

In anticipation for the album¡¯s release, the band offered fans a taste of what to expect on their upcoming full-length, unveiling the music video for ¡®Superheroes¡¯ last month. The music video sees the band performing on the streets of Johannesburg, South Africa, as they celebrate the real ¡°superheroes¡±; the people in the township. Since it¡¯s release, the video has clocked over 3.3 million views, with 724,000 views in the first three days alone.

¡°It¡¯s for the people that may not necessarily get recognition in their fields. The nurses, the doctors, and also for the underdog. It¡¯s for people like that and to inspire people like that. They¡¯re the inspiration really for the song,¡± drummer, Glen Powers told Mix 105.1, when asked about the single¡¯s message.

Although their upcoming visit is brief, Aussie fans can be assured that The Script will be back real soon ¨C the band has toured Australia every year since releasing their No.1 self-titled debut in 2008.
