Sydney metalcore outfit Northlane has announced the departure of vocalist, Adrian Fitipaldes.

Forming in 2009, Fitipaldes had been a member of the Blacktown five-piece since the band¡¯s inception. However, the band¡¯s rigorous touring schedule grew to be too much for the frontman, taking its toll on him both physically and mentally, which lead to his decision to part ways with the band.

Taking to Facebook to confirm the news, Northlane revealed that the Fitipaldes is leaving on amicable terms. ¡°It is with regret that we announce that Adrian Fitipaldes has decided to leave Northlane and will no longer be our vocalist moving forward,¡± wrote the band. ¡°Adrian has been a part of Northlane since our inception, but has chosen not to continue on with the band.¡±

¡°Unfortunately, Adrian had found the wear and tear of Northlane and our schedule to be too stressful towards his health, both physically and mentally,¡± they explain. ¡°What we do is not easy, it takes huge amounts of hard work and dedication, and we respect Adrian for doing what was right for him personally.¡±

Despite the spanner in the works, the band has insisted that it¡¯ll be business as usual for the rest of the year. As the band is scheduled to join local metalcore mavens, Parkway Drive on their European tour in November, as well as working on a new album for release next year, the band will either recruit a fill-in vocalist for the meantime or a new member.

¡°This is our lives, and our dream,¡± they assure fans. ¡°We¡¯ve achieved way too much so far to ever consider stopping now. As such, we will continue on with the same passion and dedication that we have put into our band since its inception.¡±

Wasting no time, the band is currently on the hunt for a new vocalist, reaching out to their 218,000 Facebook fans for submissions. ¡°Northlane has always been about progression and creativity, and we want someone to help us continue in that tradition,¡± wrote Northlane. ¡°Everyone in our band is under 25, and our energy and youthful enthusiasm is something that is important for us, so we will be looking for someone within the same age group.¡±

According to the quintet, the former-vocalist will release an official statement on the band¡¯s Facebook in the next few days. They also aim to release their upcoming single by the end of the 2014. Stay tuned for more news from the band, and head over to their Facebook to read the full statement.
