Australia may have only just bid farewell to UK pop-rock outfit The 1975, but the hysteria surrounding their 2015 return is in full swing.

Although pre-sale tickets to the four-piece¡¯s Australian tour were only made available on Monday (August 18), the band have already sold-out their first ever headline show at Brisbane¡¯s Tivoli Theatre. Therefore, the show has been upgraded to The Marquee at RNA Showgrounds to accommodate for more squealing fangirls (and fanboys).

For those who have already purchased tickets, don¡¯t fret because they will remain valid for the new venue. All remaining tickets will be unleashed onto the general public this Friday August 22 at 9am via new ticketing outlet, Oztix. Fans should also note that the new show is no longer a matinee performance, but a licensed all-ages show (Note: doors now open at 6:00pm).

However, it¡¯s not only Brisbane fans that are gobbling tickets like chocolate, both Melbourne¡¯s Festival Hall and Sydney¡¯s Hordern Pavillion are selling out fast.

We had a chance to see The 1975 when they played Sydney¡¯s Enmore Theatre on July 30. The awesome foursome ¨C who look more like a General Pants commercial than a band at times ¨C delivered ¡°an impressive live set, both in terms of quality of the music and performance value. Despite the excessive squeals of tweens, it was an energetic set full of dancing, cheeky banter and fabulous hair (yes, the band¡¯s).¡±

So set your alarm for the 9am release of tickets this Friday August 22. Check below for full venue and ticket information.
