Having made their return home after a run of dates in the US, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have announced that they will be hitting Aussie highways for a national tour this August and September.

Fresh off the back of their debut North America tour, which saw the Melbourne lads perform as part of Austin Psych Fest, Brooklyn¡¯s Northside Festival, and Canada Music Week, KG&TLW will play a string of shows on home soil.

The band will bring their unique fusion of psyche-rock to fans in Sydney, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, as well as a set at Wave Rock Weekender in W.A.

Squeezing a sneaky recording session into their tight tour schedule during their tour of the US, the band are currently readying their fifth LP before embarking on their Australian tour.

Meanwhile, the band recently made their entire back-catalogue free to download for fans, which included their 2014 critically acclaimed record Oddments and their 2012 debut album 12 Bar Bruise. It also featured 2011 EP Willoughby¡¯s Beach, last year¡¯s Float Along ¨C Fill Your Lungs and concept album Eyes Like The Sky.

Fellow psych-fiends The Murlocs will support King Gizzard on the East Coast dates of the tour.
