Canadian crooner The Weeknd has dropped a new track, ¡®King Of The Fall¡¯. The track, which borrows its title from the singer¡¯s upcoming US tour, is seductive, synth-driven and full of swagger. With lyrics like, ¡°Bring your girl to my show, give her floor seats, Then she go downtown like she owe me¡± male fans might have to reconsider bringing their girlfriends to the Canadian Casanova¡¯s show.

The artwork for the single features Sky Ferreira, however, no word has been given yet to whether the two artists will be collaborating this time around.

A follow-up to vocalist Abel Tesfaye¡¯s song, ¡®Often¡¯, which debuted online last month, the two tracks are the first new material from The Weeknd since last year¡¯s Kiss Land LP.

Tesfaye made his musical debut last year with Kiss Land, telling Complex Magazine that the album was inspired by horror movies.

¡°A lot of it is inspired by filmmakers like John Carpenter, David Cronenberg and Ridley Scott, because they know how to capture fear. That¡¯s what ¡®Kiss Land¡® is to me, an environment that¡¯s just honest fear.¡±

He went on to say: ¡°I don¡¯t know who I am right now and I¡¯m doing all these outlandish things in these settings that I¡¯m not familiar with. To me, it¡¯s the most terrifying thing ever. So when you hear the screams in the record and you hear all these horror references and you feel scared, listen to the music, because I want you to feel what I¡¯m feeling. ¡®Kiss Land¡® is like a horror movie.¡±

The singer, who until recent years kept his identity a mystery, signed a deal to Universal Music Group and subsequently released his trio of mixtapes under the moniker Trilogy, before unleashing his debut, Kiss Land, unto the music world. It was around this time that Tesfaye finally consented to his first-ever interview, in which he assured fans that he had not sold out ¨C it was still all about the music for the elusive, reclusive 24-year-old.

¡°Once you¡¯ve changed who you are or who you¡¯ve portrayed in your music, the fans, they¡¯ll catch it¡. Once I feel like the world knows me for anything else but my music then I feel like I failed¡± Tesfaye told MTV News.
