Australian singer-songwriter Taylor Henderson is strapping on his guitar for a national tour this July, August and September. The tour comes following the release of the former X Factor finalist¡¯s sophomore album, Burnt Letters, which was released June 6 through Sony Music.

Signing with Sony Music late last year, the latest release showcases Henderson¡¯s songwriting ability, therefore, cementing the young musician as an artist in his own right.

¡°Before The X-Factor I would just sit down in my room and write songs and no one ever heard them; if I did a gig, I¡¯d be lucky if four people rocked up to the gig!¡± said Henderson. ¡°The whole X-Factor experience has changed all that for me ¨C now people have had a chance to listen to me, and Sony Music have been able to see that I can put a song together and they¡¯ve put a lot of faith in me and my career going forward.¡±

With Burnt Letters currently sitting at the number nine spot on the iTunes album charts, sitting alongside the likes of Ed Sheeran, Sheppard and La Roux, it seems that the 21-year-old is making his mark on the music industry.

His first single ¡®When You Were Mine¡¯ peaked at number five on the ARIA charts, and tells the story of lost love and regret. With lyrics like ¡°I¡¯d send myself broke/Just to buy back the time/If the change in my pockets/Could change your mind¡± it¡¯s no wonder why the musical cutie has such a strong female fan base. It¡¯s the kind of Ed Sheeran-esque romantic, acoustic that would make any girl doodle your name in their diary.
