Just two weeks ago we revealed a photo of Skrillex in the studio with Ed Sheeran, Diplo and Usher. Now it seems that the EDM producer has his sights set on a possible cross-genre collaboration with UK rock band Kasabian.

Speaking to NME, ahead of taking the stage for his own performance at Glastonbury, he said that he is a fan of the English quartet, who celebrated a decade together by headlining the festival.

¡°I love Kasabian¡± said Skrillex. ¡°I¡¯d work with them for sure, if it was natural and there was a vibe. Who knows what it would sound like ¨C you never plan it.¡±

Now would be the ideal time to work with the Leicester-based act, as they recently released their fifth studio album, 48:13, which has a more electronic sound that the band boasts is ¡°beyond leftfield¡±.

Skrillex is renowned for being iconoclastic. With a haircut named in his honour (half shaved, while the other remains at long length), the dubstep dynamite is no stranger to unlikely collaborations across genres. In 2010, Skrillex was enlisted to do both production and vocals on several tracks for Sheffield-based metalcore outfit Bring Me The Horizon¡¯s third studio album, There Is A Hell Believe Me I¡¯ve Seen It, There Is A Heaven Let¡¯s Keep It A Secret. He also released a remix of the band¡¯s song ¡®This Sadness Will Never End¡¯ from their previous album, Suicide Season, which proved to be a popular track with fans.

Skrillex made his Glastonbury debut last year, and performed numerous secret sets throughout the site. ¡°I was supposed to only be here a day but I had the weekend off, which is very rare, so we ended up staying the whole weekend. I popped my Glastonbury cherry in a big way¡± said Skrillex. ¡°I like festivals, and this is my favourite time of the year. But Glastonbury is obviously special.¡±

The dubstep overlord also revealed that he¡¯ll be releasing new music under the Jack U moniker ¨C his joint venture with US producer and Major Lazer star Diplo (who recently made his debut on the big screen with a cameo in 22 Jump Street).

¡°I¡¯m just finishing this thing with Diplo, under the Jack U name. People think my music is already obnoxious. Our music together is crazy ¨C but it goes off,¡± said the Ray-Ban-wearing DJ. We¡¯re sure the new Jack U track will have fans ¡®Breakn¡¯ A Sweat¡¯ (budum tish!).
