Canberra¡¯s experimental rock outfit Hands Like Houses will embark on a tour of their home soil through September and October this year.

The six-piece will play a string of shows across the country, kicking off in Adelaide on Friday September 12, before closing the curtains in Canberra two weeks later.

The band have spent most of the year on the road, playing dates on home turf earlier this year, before jetting off to play a number of international shows in the UK and US recently.

The tour will mark the fourth headline tour for the post-hardcore act this year, and will see the band bring tracks from their latest album, Unimagine, to fans across Australia. The album, which was released in July last year through Rise Records, is the follow-up to HLH¡¯s explosive debut album, Ground Dweller.

The local boys ¨C who only last year were forced to reach out to fans, asking fans to buy merch and donate money because they could not afford to get their van fixed while on tour in the US ¨C took to Facebook yesterday to reflect on what a difference a year has made for the band.

¡°¡and what a year it has been. This very day this last year we released something we¡¯d been working on for a while, poured our hearts into, challenged ourselves with, sweated, debated and toiled over, explored, extended, expressed and examined, each time over growing in confidence that we had made something worth the time, tears and expectations hanging on it being something special. And here we are, a year later celebrating the 1st anniversary of Unimagine¡± wrote Hands Like Houses.

The band went on the say: ¡°We have some awesome things happening soon and as always, we can¡¯t wait to share them with you. It¡¯s been an amazing year and we look forward to what is next.¡±
