Captain America 3 Already Confirmed For May 2016!

It seems even before the number two has been released, Marvel Studios just can’t wait to get rolling on number three. Captain America 3 already has a release date – May 2016 and will be the month that Chris Evans’s superhero character will complete his trilogy.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the second in the trilogy will open next month in Australia, but excitement is already building for Captain American 3, considering it opens the same month of the eagerly anticipated sequel to Man Of Steel – which contains Batman and Superman in the same film!

The move looks like a stunt to compete with The Man Of Steel sequel considering it will be the first time in film history that Batman and Superman will share the same screen. Whether it works for Marvel Studios is a different matter entirely.

It was also confirmed that The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo will return for Captain America 3.

“We’re just in the formative stages of it right now. We just started breaking the story and we’re just getting an idea of what we wanna do with it” said Joe Russo.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will see America’s favorite hero, join forces with Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury as they battle a more powerful and deadly foe – The Winter Soldier.
