The Inbetweeners 2 – Confirms Release Date

The official release date for the movie Inbetweeners 2 has been revealed. The sequel to the 2011 hit will be release on the 21st of August 2014 in Australia. The original quartet of Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison will all be reprising their roles from the popular TV series.

Moris and Beesley said that the film, which is set in Australia, would feature some hi-jinks antics with kangaroos. “We can’t say too much as we don’t want to spoil the jokes for you, but what we can exclusively reveal is there will be kangaroos. And Australians. And possibly koalas.”

“Oh and obviously Jay, Will, Neil and Simon providing they’re let into the country.

“Thanks so much for all your support, we’re hoping to deliver a film that you’ll enjoy even more than the last one.”

The first film was a box office smash taking in £45million in the UK box office. It followed the boys going on a holiday to Crete – where naturally nothing went their way.

The Inbetweeners TV show originally ran for three series between 2008 and 2010. A US remake aired on MTV in 2012 but got the axe after just one season. What a surprise.
