Skrillex And Flume To Collaborate?

Skrillex And Flume

While touring Australia during the New Year’s period with performances at the Shore Thing and Beachlife Festivals, Skrillex has hinted that the dubstep master could be teaming up with Aussie young gun Flume.

Talking to Veronica and Lewis on Triple J, Skrillex said that Australia’s latest rising star would be coming into the studio to mix up some beats.

Flume is coming into the studio tomorrow,” said Skrillex. “I’ll be seeing him tomorrow, so maybe we’ll make something, who knows?”

The producer also explained why he cancelled his appearance at 2013’s Stereosonic Festival, where he was going to perform as “Dog Blood” alongside hip-hop overlords Boys Noize.

“I had to finish these records,” he said. “A lot of people thought it was because I was being lazy or didn’t want to come, but it was literally the hardest decision to say no…. I’ve never played Stereo before but the festival always looked really legendary and really dope.”

Porter Robinson – Splendour In The Grass Sideshows

Following the success of this year’s Coachella Festival, Porter Robinson will remain on this festival high for Australia’s Splendour in the Grass. In addition to his Friday set at the festival, Porter Robinson will also be performing sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne with a whole new sound.

Known for his upbeat, electronic dance DJ sets, the American Producer will be trying something different for Australian shows off the back of his debut album Worlds. Instead of sampling other musicians, Robinson’s sets will only feature his own samples and tracks, with live instrumental performances.
