English band Placebo has confirmed that they will play a host of sideshows alongside their appearance at the 2014 Soundwave festival.
The band will kick off the sidewaves in Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Monday the 24th of February and then on to Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on the 27th of February.
The English rockers are stoked to be coming back to Australia, with the group’s drummer Steve Forrest telling Music Feeds late last year, that they cannot wait to come back.
“I cannot wait [for Soundwave 2014]. On the last world tour we did, Australia was by far my favorite place that I went,” said Forrest. “Not to say the rest of the world wasn’t amazing, it was, but Aussies, man, you guys have so much fun.”
The band is famous for its debut indie rock album ‘Without You I’m Nothing’, which inspired a generation of indie rockers.
Tickets for Placebo’s sideshows go on sale on Thursday the 23rd of January at 9am.
