Eminem has officially confirmed that he will be touring Australia in 2014! That¡¯s right, Eminem will tour Oz in February with a supporting line-up including Kendrick Lamar, J Cole and Australia¡¯s very own 360!
The team of rappers will be part of the Rapture Festival and will begin their conquest by kicking off their tour at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on February 19. They will then head to Brisbane¡¯s Suncorp Stadium on February 20 and finally Sydney¡¯s ANZ Stadium on February 22.
Rumours about the Rapture Festival began surfacing late last year, and is the brainchild of Australian promoter Paul Dainty and Eminem¡¯s manager Paul Rosenberg. However, the idea never took off ¨C until the announcement!
¡°I am really excited to be working with Eminem on Rapture, an annual event with a long term vision of showcasing the best of the best in hip hop at an affordable prices to the punter¡± said Dainty in a statement.
Eminem is back to his best following the release of three singles from his latest album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. The hits include Berzerk, Survival and the controversial six-minute manifesto Rap God.
The Grammy Award winner recently played at the Reading and Leeds festivals, giving the fans the best beats he had to offer, including his biggest hits ¨C Stan, My Name Is, Real Slim Shady and Without Me.
Eminem¡¯s Rapture teammate, Kendrick Lamar has also been wowing lately, by being named the hottest MC on Earth by MTV, after his dominate 2012 year with the release of his album Good Kid. Meanwhile J.Cole¡¯s debut album, Born Sinner debuted at number two in the US.
Eminem last toured Australia in December 2011, playing in Sydney and Melbourne with a supporting cast of Lil Wayne and The Hilltop Hoods.
