You will have almost one year to prepare your body and mind, because we¡¯re giving you the heads up! Groovin¡¯ The Moo is back in 2014 with organisers officially releasing dates and venues for next year¡¯s awesome festival.

Officials have decided to spring a surprise on us, by kicking off the run of shows with the first ever South Australian show in Oakbank! The SA leg continues the strong GTM tradition, by making their way to the regional areas throughout Australia to give the locals the best line-up of international and local music has to offer!

The first show will kick off on Friday, 25th April at Oakbank Racecourse and South Australians are jumping out of their skins with excitement after months of trying to grease the wheels.

¡°It¡¯s taken a few years, but we are all very excited to welcome South Australia into the GTM Family,¡± said Stephen Halpin from Cattleyard Promotions.

¡°Oakbank Racecourse is a beautiful venue and the 2014 line-up is shaping up nicely already so we can¡¯t wait to launch the GTM Tour in SA.¡± From there, the show will journey through Australia, with a visit to Maitland on Saturday, 26th April, the nation¡¯s capital Canberra on the 27th, before making its way to the deep heartland of Victoria with a show in Bendigo on Saturday, 3rd May with Townsville and Bunbury being the final stops.

There were further plans to expand the festival to Albury and Darwin, but the small populations were a problem.
¡°Running a festival costs a lot of money with production and staging so to have a chance to break even you need to be drawing on a decent population,¡± said Halpin.

¡°The most you could get at one of those festivals (Darwin or Albury) is about 4000-5000 and it¡¯s really hard to have a decent lineup and break even on those numbers,¡± he explained.

Nevertheless, Groovin The Moo 2014 looks locked and loaded!

And just to get you fired up a little more, organisers have planned a competition for past fans to have a shot at winning a double pass for the 2014 event, with 10 up for grabs. All you have to do is put up a photo of your favourite Moo memory from past couple of years, upload it to Instagram and hastag it with #motmoo for your chance to grab the prize!
