Eminem Reveals New Single For ‘Marshall Mathers LP 2’

Eminem Australian Tour 2014

Rap legend Eminem has revealed his first new single for his latest album. ‘Berzerk‘ is the title for the song, which will be part of Slim Shady’s new album ‘MMLP2‘, which stands for Marshall Mathers LP 2; a sequel to his Grammy Award winning album, Marshall Mathers LP.

The single also makes a blistering remark at one of the Kardashians and Kendrink Lamar: “They say that love is powerful as cough syrup and Styrofoam, All I know is I fell asleep and woke up in that Monte Carlo, With the ugly Kardashian,
Lamar, oh sorry we done both set the bar low”

Eminem has made a history of blasting rival rappers on his tracks so this latest zing comes as no surprise. It could also signal a return to form for the rapper, best remembered for his hardcore lyrics.

MMPL2’ is scheduled for release on the 5th of November and was made public at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in New York, when Eminem shared a video teaser featuring music from ‘Berzerk‘. The album lists the long-time best friends Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin as executive producers.

‘MMPL2’ is Eminem’s eighth studio album and first one since 2010’s massive hit, ‘Recovery‘ which featured the groundbreaking collaboration with Rihanna for ‘Love The Way You Lie’.

As mentioned earlier, ‘MMLP2‘ is the sequel for 2000’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP‘. The album is best known for the class tracks, ‘Stan‘, ‘The Way I Am‘ and ‘The Real Slim Shady‘. But it was also for its controversial lyrical matter, including homophobic and misogyny remarks. Yet the album stormed home with a host of awards including Best Rap Album at the 2000 Grammy Awards.
