It seems that the only thing left to the legion of actions heroes was to add a fedora and a whip! And Sylvester Stallone might have got what he wanted with the action star tweeting that Indiana Jones himself, Harrison Ford will be taking part in The Expendables 3.

The writer, director and actor of the series (Stallone), also announced that Bruce Willis, who appeared in the first two films will not be returning to the third piece of the franchise, but decided the announcement should go out with a bang!

Stallone tweeted: ¡°WILLIS OUT¡ HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!¡±

But it wasn¡¯t over for Rocky, as he tweeted again, this time aiming directly at Willis himself. ¡®GREEDY AND LAZY ¡¡ A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE.¡¯ Willis has yet to respond to the remark, but knowing the Die Hard star, a sarcastic and quirky response will be on its way shortly.

Regardless, Ford looks likely to be joining the already confirmed cast of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Twilight beefcake Kellan Lutz, boxer Victor Ortiz and Olympic judo medalist Ronda Rousey.?

Other big names that have been mooted to the join the team, include martial arts experts Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich and none other than Mel Gibson, who¡¯s been rumored to be playing the villain. However none of the actors have signed any contracts yet, meaning until they do, nothing is set in stone.

Time isn¡¯t on their side however, with shooting set to start shortly. Australian¡¯s own Patrick Hughes (Red Hill) will direct the film, with Distributors Lionsgate setting their rocket launchers on a release date of August 15, 2014.
