Swedish DJ Avicii has done many things in his short, but successful career. And he¡¯s set to do something he¡¯s never done before, release his first studio album.

The DJ who rose to international success following the release of the global sensation ¡®Levels¡¯ will let rip out his debut album, ¡°#TRUE¡±.

The album is set to be released on the 17th of September and the DJ who was in Australia late last year for the Stereosonic Music Festival, could not be any happier.

¡°This is about me being true to my sound but also to my own influences and musical preferences¡± said Avicii, who is also known as Tim Bergling.

¡°This album consists 100% of songs I personally love. It¡¯s true to me, true to my brand, true to Avicii.¡±

The Swedish superstar performed some the album¡¯s tracks at the Ultra Music Festival in March this year, which featured some of the genre¡¯s biggest talents, including: Audra Mae, Aloe Blacc, Joakim Berg, Nile Rodgers, Mac Davis, and even Incubus¡®s Mike Einziger.

The tracks, which will be distributed by PRMD Music/Island Records, received mixed reactions when Avicii played the tracks at the Ultra Music Festival. But the DJ was unconcerned about the reception he received.

¡°Disruption is good when a scene is half stuck. We wanted to bring 15 minutes of something fresh to break [Ultra] up. We knew people would be provoked¡±

¡°For me it will be successful if it resonates with people ¨C no matter how many,¡± he said. ¡°It¡¯s what I stand for, so whoever loves it loves what I love. That¡¯s what fans are to me.¡±

Avicii¡¯s
manager Ash Pournouri has said that the album showed the world just how talented Bergling is, and continued to say that Avicii was one of the ¡°most innovative artist out there.¡±

The album¡¯s first single, ¡®Wake Me Up¡¯ will be available on iTunes on June 25, and follows on the success of the ARIA dominating and Nicky Romero collaborated song, ¡®I Could Be The One¡¯.
