John Mayer Back In The Studio…And Will Show Fans His Work!

John Mayer Australian Tour

Heartthrob John Mayer has announced on Facebook that he is back to finishing off his latest album. Mayer continued to say that he would be releasing behind-the-scenes clips of his music process each Tuesday, citing footage of Mayer fiddling with his amp, his pedals and picking out a lick.

The latest album will follow in the trend of Mayer’s previous album, Born and Raised, which featured a return to Mayer’s country roots, telling Rolling Stones, “I like a lot of stuff I didn’t think I was going to like 10 years ago. That excites me.”

He continued to say, “I’m up to four or five songs I think are really cool. There’s a song called ‘Badge and Gun‘ that’s pure country. I’d like to do a country EP at some point, a smallish record.”

Mayer recently performed at the Academy of Country Music Awards and will continue his live performances throughout 2013, attending a benefit show for firefighters in Montana, as well as announcing his first tour in two years, following his battle with granuloma in his throat.

Mayer will begin touring in July in North America before making his way down South, with the likes of Brazil and Argentina set to enjoy his shows.

Porter Robinson – Splendour In The Grass Sideshows

Known for his upbeat, electronic dance DJ sets, the American Producer will be trying something different for Australian shows off the back of his debut album Worlds. Instead of sampling other musicians, Robinson’s sets will only feature his own samples and tracks, with live instrumental performances.
