Hip-Hop sensation, Frank Ocean is set to make his Australian debut, by headlining Splendour in the Grass, as well as a host of sideshows.

Confirming from a leak released earlier today, Ocean has officially come out and about to announce that there will be sideshows in both Sydney and Melbourne.

He will play at Festival Hall on Friday July 26th, before heading to Sydney and the Hordern Pavilion on Monday the 29th of July.

Ocean is coming on the back of an huge run of success, following the release of his Grammy winning debut solo album, Channel Orange. The album was met with critical acclaim and garnered the Urban artist an Grammy for ¡®Best Urban Contemporary Album¡¯.

The album was also nominated for Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. It was described as ¡°a richly layered and emotional record that soars above the R&B pack¡± by FL, which numbered it the sixth best album of 2012.

Ocean also found himself named in TIME magazine¡¯s 100 most influential people, with soul legend, John Legend, saying that Ocean¡¯s achievements in 2012 was down to his ¡°fearlessness and his artistic freedom¡± and further expressing his content with Ocean by saying that he makes ¡°art, not radio hits¡±.
