Supanova Pop Culture Expo Melbourne 2011

Supanova Pop Culture Expo is where the adoring public comes face to face with Supa-Star celebrities and the creative talent that inspire their imaginary worlds under one big roof.

Gathered from and surrounded by the wonderful worlds of science-fiction, pulp TV/movies, toys, console gaming, trading cards, animation/cartoons, fantasy, comic books, entertainment technology, books, internet sites and fan-clubs, the result is an amazing atmosphere tailor made for expessing your inner geek and where getting into cosplay (cos-tume role-play) is the obvious thing to do!

So whether you’re seven or seventy, Supanova… It’s a blast!!!

Christopher ‘Doc Emmet Brown’ Lloyd is back for the first time after having to postpone his initial visit in April. Back then we promised we’d get Christopher for the fans who missed out then and he’s on his way.

Christopher will be on hand to sign autographs and pose for photos in addition to introducing one of the Back to the Future trilogy films on Blu-ray and doing a separate Q&A on his career in general which also includes favourites such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Star Trekl III: The Search for Spock, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, the two Addams Family films The Pagemaster and My Favorite Martian.

Joining him is fellow A-list Supa-Star, the legendary Val Kilmer, who has absolutely nothing to do with Back to the Future but who we thought our fans would love to see regardless. As the star of so many magnificent films (Top Secret, Real Genius, Willow, The Doors, Tombstone, Batman Forever, Heat, The Saint, The Prince of Egypt, Wonderland, Spartan, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Felon to name a few) we thought you wouldn’t mind and Val will of course have his own Q&A to talk about his career and answer questions.

BIFF, FLUX CAPACITOR and GIGAWATT ticket holders are able to purchase photo* ($50) and signature* ($40) options on the day. FLUX CAPACITOR and GIGAWATT ticket holders can choose to use their complimentary photo/signature opportunities with either Christopher Lloyd or Val Kilmer. There will also be a small selection of specialised retailers selling merchandise on the day.

Who & What To Expect…

‘Doc’ Brown: Back To The Future Trilogy, The Addams Family, Star Trek III

Batman Forever, Top Gun, Willow, HEAT, The Doors

Olly Murs’ ‘Never Been Better Tour’ is coming to Australia

Internationally acclaimed UK pop star Olly Murs has excited Aussie fans with the news he will be returning in August for a nation-wide tour. Promoting his fourth album Never Been Better, Murs will kick off the tour in Perth before heading to Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.

Porter Robinson – Splendour In The Grass Sideshows

Following the success of this year’s Coachella Festival, Porter Robinson will remain on this festival high for Australia’s Splendour in the Grass. In addition to his Friday set at the festival, Porter Robinson will also be performing sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne with a whole new sound.

Known for his upbeat, electronic dance DJ sets, the American Producer will be trying something different for Australian shows off the back of his debut album Worlds. Instead of sampling other musicians, Robinson’s sets will only feature his own samples and tracks, with live instrumental performances.
