From the backwoods of rural Gympie in Queensland, The Amity Affliction have gone from strength to strength since their humble beginnings as a high school garage band in 2003. Taking to the road again, these metalcore rockers are coming to a town near you for their Weigh Downunder tour in early 2015.

The boys are leaving no corner of the country untouched, making it as far as north Queensland for tropical fans and even across to the Northern Territory and Western Australia for their outback fan-base.

Soundwave Festival 2015 – First Artist Announcement

After much speculation from fans, and the media alike, Japanese metalcore outfit Coldrain have been confirmed to join the Soundwave 2015 lineup.

Festival boss AJ Maddah has confirmed several acts for the hard and heavy festival, including local hardcore band Confession, and progressive metal act Ne Obliviscaris. However, the announcement of Coldrain is the first official confirmation for next year’s lineup.

Soundwave 2015 – Who To Watch Out For On Day One

Six days ago, AJ Maddah unleashed the first Soundwave 2015 lineup unto the world. Then came the stream of status updates on social media, which saw punters divided in criticising or applauding Maddah for what he was able to pull out of his promoter hat.

Featuring big names such as Faith No More, Soundgarden, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Slash, Fall Out Boy, and many more, the hard and heavy festival is now a spread over two days – to minimise clashes and optimise “dark time.” Kicking off in Adelaide and Melbourne, Soundwave will then move to Sydney and Brisbane the following weekend.

Confession ‘Life And Death’ Australian Tour 2014

Local metalcore outfit Confession, are hitting Aussie highways this October to play 10 shows along the east coast.

Fronted by Michael Crafter, a key player in the hardcore scene, the national tour comes in support of the band’s latest album, Life And Death, which was released earlier this year by Resist Records through Cooking Vinyl.

House Vs Hurricane Announce Western Australian Tour Dates

As promised, House Vs Hurricane have announced West Australian dates – their first in nearly 18 months. The dates will come off the back of the release of their second album “Crooked Teeth“, which hits shelves via UNFD on July 13. The album sees the launch of new vocalist Dan Casey and was produced and mixed in New Jersey earlier this year by Machine (The Amity Affliction, Lamb Of God). First single, “Blood Knuckles“, has been getting spins on Triple J, and has become a YouTube hit with it’s self produced music video. It is currently sitting at #1 on the iTunes Metal Charts, where is has stayed since it’s release.
