Evanescence are finally set to make a long overdue return to Australia.

Evanescence, renowned for their classically influenced haunting, hammering hard rock sound, beautifully lead by Amy Lee’s wrenching vocals ranging from delicate to dramatic, primal to passionate. Piano-led broodings swell at pace upon intricate, hammering guitars, creating stunning hard-driving tunes.

Their unique sound has lead to combined album sales nearing 25 million worldwide. Australian sales alone exceed 600,000.

Global success arrived for Evanescence with the delivery of their 2003 debut album ‘Fallen’, featuring the epic #1 single ‘Bring Me To Life’ and universal hit ‘My Immortal’. The album earned the band two prestigious Grammy Awards and cultivated international acclaim.

‘The Open Door’ was the second instalment from Evanescence. Housing massive hit singles ‘Call Me When You’re Sober’ and ‘Lithium’, the hugely successful album hitting #1 on the ARIA album chart.

In 2010 Evanescence returned to the studio, resulting in the October 2011 release of their eponymous, long awaited third studio album (through Wind Up/EMI). Spearheaded by the single ‘What You Want’, the album hit #1 in the US Billboard charts and debuted at the top of charts around the world.

“This record is so geared for live shows,” Lee said. “We were thinking about playing live the whole time we were writing it.”

“I can’t describe how great it feels to have their [the fans] support. I love so much meeting them before and after the show. If feels like they’re growing with us,” Lee continued. “We’re so happy to be back.”

Barely teenagers when they formed seven years back in North London, Bombay Bicycle Club have been described as a young band in a hurry, releasing an album a year since they 2009 debut.

In the three years since their first release, Bombay Bicycle Club have built a fiercely loyal, tattooing-lyrics-on-their-arm kind of fan base, that continues to grow by the day.

Just one year after forming the band famously won a competition that catapulted them onto the stage at the UK’s V Festival in 2006, and in turn onto the world stage.

Despite tempting offers from several labels,the band decided to release their 2009 debut album, I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose, on their homegrown label, Mmm…. The following year Bombay Bicycle Club won the Best New Band award at the NME Awards.

Bombay Bicycle Club released their sophomore album, Flaws in 2010. The stripped back, folk-influenced release grazed the UK Top 10 and was nominated for an esteemed Ivor Novello Award.

Seemingly determined to never make the same album twice, their latest offering A Different Kind Of Fix, reveals another change in direction, challenging any preconceptions of the band’s sound and confirming their vitality, creativity and ear for a damn fine tune.
