Subject to Clause 3 and 4 below:
The prize for this competition is an opening slot at an Official Schoolies Week club night in the Gold Coast. There is a total of one winner. Flights from your nearest major city and accommodation will be provided for 1 person. Management have the right to refuse entry. Prize cannot be sold for cash. Prizes will only be made available to Australian Residents. All shortlisted djs that make it to the voting stage is soley at’s discretion based on suitability. Winners will be notified by email, and announced via the official facebook page.

Upon entering, all participants acknowledge that the competition is run solely by Rythmix Group Pty Ltd T/as . Facebook are not involved with the competition in any way, shape or form. This includes sponsoring, endorsing or administering the competition. All information transmitted in the competition will be administered by Rythmix Group Pty Ltd T/as and used for the sole purpose of this competition

The following terms and conditions apply to the competition called ‘[DJ At Schoolies Competition Presented by]’ (the “Competition”) operated by Rythmix Group Pty Ltd T/as (“”) . By entering into the Competition, you hereby agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Once you enter the Competition, these terms and conditions shall constitute a binding legal agreement between you and (the “Terms and Conditions”).

1) Duration
a) The Competition will run from 16 SEPTEMBER 2013 until 13 October 2013 (subject to clause 3h), 4e) and 7 below (“Period of Entry”).

2) Entry
a) To enter the Competition / submit your DJ mix, you must:
i) Visit the following link and enter your details –
ii) Submit an entry form (“Entry Form”) by filling out your details, including email address, first name, surname, year of birth and other details required to enter listed on the Entry Form;
iii) Be between the ages of 13 – 18
iv) Be a resident of Australia;
v) Submit the Entry Form during the Period of Entry.
vi) Have full parental or guardian consent to enter the competition.
b) By submitting an Entry Form, you will be referred to as an “Entrant” for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions.
c) If you are eligible to enter to enter the Competition, you can only enter the competition once.
d) Entry to the Competition is free.
e) employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the Competition. For the purpose of this clause, “immediate family members” shall mean any of the following, spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, stepgrandparent, uncle, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousins.
f) reserve the right to verify the validity of Entry Forms and Entrants (including an Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an Entry Form that breaches these Terms and Conditions.
g) Entrants who submit incomplete or illegible Entry Forms will be disqualified.
h) Entry and continued participation in the Competition is dependent on Entrants (including you) adhering to the Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (found at

3) Winner
a) Winners of the Competition (“Winner/s”) will be selected by a represented of soon after the Voting Period concludes (13th October 2013) and published on the Facebook Fanpage and on the following website, (the “Website”) by 20th October 2013.
b) will notify Winners by e-mail, at the email address provided in the Entry Form.
c) All Winners must claim their Prize within 2 days of sending email notification. In the event that a Winner does not claim his or her Prize within 2 days of the email notification, may in its discretion reallocate the Prize to another Entrant or forfeit the Prize.
d) All decisions relating to the conduct of the Competition, including but not limited to, the awarding of the Prizes, are at the sole and exclusive discretion of
e) decision in relation to any aspect of the Competition is final and binding on you. You will not be permitted to enter into any correspondence with KRBDE on the conduct or results of the Competition.
f) Prizes are non-transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
g) reserves the right to make changes to the Prizes defined below in clause 4 (by substitution of other Prizes of an equal or higher recommended retail value) if the Prizes are not available at the date the Competition is drawn.
h) If cancels the Schoolies DJ Comp for any reason, the Competition shall be cancelled and no winner shall be drawn.

4) Prizes
a) All prizes for the Competition (“Prizes”) can be found listed on
b) Winners are responsible for the payment of all expenses associated with redeeming Prizes
c) Band winners are required to provide their own sound engineer.
d) Where the Prize includes entry and/or (a) ticket/s to an event (an “Event”), the Winner of that Prize agrees and warrants the following:
i) The Winner is between the age of 13-18. And have full parent or guardian’s permission to undertake in the competition.
ii) The Winner will not engage in any conduct that is illegal, disrespectful or inappropriate whilst attending the Event.
d) reserves its rights to remove any Winner from an Event that is in breach of clause 2c above.
e) If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify the terms of the Competition including the Prizes and these Terms and Conditions subject to the approval (if required by law) of any relevant government authority.
f) There will be no monetary compensation whatsoever for the performance.

5) Publicity
a) It is a condition of entry that i has the right to publicize the names, characters, likenesses or voices of Entrants and Winners in the Competition
(including you) for any promotion or matter incidental to the Competition.
b) The Entrants (including you) may also be required by i to participate in a photo, recording, video and/or film session relating to the Competition (the “Publicity Materials”). You hereby agree that by entering this Competition, you assign all rights you may have in the Publicity Materials (including any copyright or rights you may have by law as a performer).
c) You hereby grant i an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, free and non-revocable license to use the Publicity Materials in any medium and in any reasonable manner it sees fit

6) Indemnities

a) To the fullest extent permitted by law, excludes all liability however so arising (including liability arising from negligence on the part of the or their respective officers, employees, contractors or agents (the “Representatives”) for any loss or damage whether direct, indirect, special or consequential or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, by entrants or the winners, arising in any way of out of or in connection with the Competition.
b) Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, (including their Representatives) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
i) Lost, late, stolen, damaged or misdirected mail.
ii) Any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) or any Entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise;
iii) Any theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of such communications as listed in points 6b)i) and 6)b)ii above;
iv) Any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Competition; and
v) Any incorrect or incomplete information that may be communicated in the course of the administering this Competition.
c), their Representatives and other related parties associated with the Competition accept no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from Entrants receiving Prize winnings. Winners should seek their own independent finacial advice regarding Prizes at their own expense.

7) Tampering
If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned (for reasons including but not limited to technical failures, unauthorized intervention, computer viruses, mobile phone failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond the control of which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition), KRBDE reserves the right subject to Victorian state regulations to disqualify any Entrant who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition.

8) Facebook
You hereby acknowledge and agree that:
a) The Competition is no way sponsored, endorsed or operated by Facebook or its associates or representatives;
b) In the event you wish to question or complain about the Competition, you must contact ( and not Facebook; and
c) Information submitted on the Entry Forms is submitted directly to and not to Facebook.
d) In entering this Competition, you will adhere to the Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (found at

9) Privacy
a) In order to conduct the Competition and to receive Entry Forms, must collect and store items of your personal information (“Personal Information”). Entry is conditional upon you providing accurate and up-to-date Personal Information, as required in the Entry Form.
b) shall only use your Personal Information for the purpose of conducting the Competition (for example, to contact Entrants and Winners about the Competition).
c) You acknowledge and agree that in conducting the Competition, may be required to forward your Personal Information to third parties (including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and prize suppliers).
d) If you agree and until you withdraw such consent, may use your Personal Information for promotional, marketing or publicity purposes relating to the goods and services of and its representatives or associates.

10) Termination of Competition may terminate the Competition or vary its terms at any time at its absolute discretion without liability to you or any other person.

DJ Competition 2013 – Terms and Conditions Summary:

1. Competition Entry is open from 22.08.2013 to 08.09.2013. Competition voting stage opens from 15.09.2013 to 13.10.2013.

2. reserves the right to cancel, alter or add to the terms and conditions of the “DJ Competition 2013” at any time.

3. If an entrant is under the age of 18, he or she must attain approval from a Parent or Guardian prior to entering the competition.

4. The winning entrant must be available for travel between the 18th and 21st of November 2013.

5. The winning entrant will receive 1 x DJ Spot at an official Schoolies event, 1 x Return Flights from their nearest city. 1 x 5 Star hotel room for one night on the Gold Coast, 1 x Limousine pick up from the airport upon landing on the Gold Coast.

6. If a Parent or Guardian wishes to travel with the winning entrant, they must do so at their expense.

7. and its partners take no responsibility for any damage, loss or injury to the winner or his or her properties.

8. hereby expressly reserve the right to remove any winner and terminate the prize for any inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to intoxication whilst participating in any element of the prize.

9. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be take as cash.

10. Entrants consent to using the entrants name, likeness, image and or voice in the event they are winner (including photographs, film and or recording of the same), in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition.

11. Only one entry/mix may be submitted per person.

12. If the person selected as the winner cant make it for the event, they must forfeit the prize and it will be redrawn. No cash replacements.

13. This competition is open to residents of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia only.

14. The judge’s decision is final.
