Jared Leto Reportedly Set To Play The Joker

What do Jared Leto, Jack Nicolson and the late Heath Ledger have in common? Aside from all being Oscar winners, they will all have played the iconic Batman villain The Joker if rumours are to be believed.

The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman has reportedly been chosen as the favourite for the role, with TheWarp reporting that Warner Bros. wants him to don the twisted clown costume for the upcoming film, Suicide Squad scheduled for release in 2016. Jared had previously been rumoured to play Doctor Strange, but it was revealed recently that the role had gone to Benedict Cumberbatch.

Taylor Swift To Bring Her 1989 World Tour To Australia

Continuing her monster year, Taylor Swift shows no signs of slowing down. The country icon turned full fledged pop-star has just announced that she’ll be bringing her recently announced 1989 World Tour to Australia in December 2015!

Announcing the tour via her website, the message reads “announcing THE 1989 WORLD TOUR! Kicking off in Louisiana on May 20, 2015, the tour will hit North America and Europe before heading to Australia in December 2015”. Listing the first set of dates for the tour, she added a second surprise for her US fans, releasing the news that she’s bringing along Hottest 100 winner, Vance Joy for the ride.

Bad news for streaming-savvy Swifties; Taylor, when she wasn’t selling 1.2+ million copies of her latest album, she quietly pulled all of her back-catalogue from Spotify.

The move came following the release of 1989 – her first step into the pop world – with the cat-loving popstar and her record label reportedly not happy with the music streaming sites payment for artists – estimated $0.007 per song play. They are the latest high profile examples of a large section of the industry that feel that streaming services are not yet in a position to fill the hole created by downloads.

And then, I came [to set] and I got a car and I got some lines and then my character is friends with Vin Diesel’s character, Dominic. Foo Fighters Australian Tour 2015 – NIB Stadium, Perth

The rumors are true! After months of speculations, we can reveal that famed Seattle rockers The Foo Fighters are coming to Australia for a stadium tour in 2015. The tour, which will see them visit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide and Perth in February and March, will celebrate the release of their eighth studio album Sonic Highways.

John Legend Australian Tour 2014 – Kings Park & Botanic Garden, Perth

R&B Singer-songwriter John Legend will return to Australia this December for his “All Of Me” Tour. The tour will kick off on the 5th of December in Sydney and will visit the Hunter Valley, Brisbane, Melbourne, The Yarra Valley, Adelaide and conclude in Perth on the 16th of December.

John Legend last visited Australia in 2013, in support of fellow R&B sensation Alecia Keys on her stadium tour. The winner of X Factor Australia 2014, Dami Im, has been announced as the opening support act for John Legend. Meanwhile Megan Washington will make an special guest appearance at the Day On The Green performances.

For all those still mourning the finality of the Harry Potter franchise, your prayers have been answered! Warner Bros, who brought you the magic that was Harry Potter, have confirmed a spin-off trilogy of films based on JK Rowling’s ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.

The three films are scheduled to be released in November 2016, 2018 and 2020 and will also be the screenwriting debut for JK Rowling, who has ‘expanded her relationship’ with Warner Bros studios.
