Ariana Grande Announces Australian Tour 2014

Pint-sized pop songstress Ariana Grande has announced that she will be heading to Australia this September for a string of shows.

The former Disney star will hit Aussie shores off the back of the release of her sophomore album, My Everything, which is due out August 22 this year.

The nominations for this year’s MTV Video Music Award are in, with R&B sass queen Beyoncé in the lead with eight nominations. Rappers Eminem and Iggy Azalea follow closely behind, both receiving seven nominations.

Beyoncé and Azalea will go head-to-head in the video of the year category, for ‘Drunk In Love’ and Azalea’s Clueless-themed ‘Fancy’, however, the pair will be also go up against the likes of Miley Cyrus, Sia and Pharrell Williams.

Australian singer-songwriter Taylor Henderson is strapping on his guitar for a national tour this July, August and September. The tour comes following the release of the former X Factor finalist’s sophomore album, Burnt Letters, which was released June 6 through Sony Music.

Irish indie act Two Door Cinema Club have cancelled their slot on this year’s Splendour In The Grass, a week out from the three-day Byron Bay based festival.

The trio, were one of three headliners for the festival, and were set to play the Amphitheatre stage Saturday July 26. However, after the hospitalisation of lead singer Alex Trimble, and the subsequent cancellation of shows in Bournemouth and Suffolk this weekend, the band was forced to cancel their appearance Down Under.
