Fans have waited a long time, but finally Miami’s Thick As Blood are heading to Australia for a run of shows across the country this June. Their brand of hardcore merges metal elements like crushing riffs with brutally honest lyrics, which has seen them take the hardcore world by storm. Joining them on all dates will be Newcastle’s Taken By Force.

Thick As Blood have been building a loyal following since 2004 with two releases on prominent hardcore label Eulogy. Couple that with a hard hitting live show that has seen them tour with the likes of Every Time I Die, Emmure and Terror, and Thick As Blood are a force to be reckoned with. To top it off, the band recently entered the studio with Terror’s Nick Jett to record for their Rise Records debut, due out later this year.

Formed in 2009, Taken By Force take fast, hard-hitting riffs and add uncompromising vocals to create an in your face style of hardcore. Having cut their teeth playing with Newcastle icons like Dropsaw and The Dead Walk, the band recorded their debut album, Taking Back What’s Mine. This release saw them play with heavy-hitting internationals like Death Before Dishonor, Backtrack and Emmure. Now the band is preparing for a follow up EP and continue playing their aggressive hardcore all over the country.

This combination of bands will prove to be one of the most legit hardcore tours of 2012. Dust off your camo and head along to one of the shows when they launch an assault across Australia.

It’s been just over 24 hours since tickets for the highly demanded ‘Flying Tour’ went on sale. Shows in Melbourne (x2), Brisbane (x2), Frankston, Adelaide, and Perth have completely sold out with second and final show dates announced in all cities to meet the screams of Sixty’s devoted army that are covering his Facebook wall.

Queensland was the first state to show it’s hunger for Uncle Six, with the under 18’s show selling out within minutes of going on sale. The 18+ gig at Brisbane’s HiFi Bar then followed suit selling out within an hour of tickets being available. A second Brisbane 18+ date has now been announced for Monday 11th of June at the HiFi to meet the needs of Sixty’s Queensland based devotees.

Adelaide’s all ages show at The Gov was the next to put up the sold out sign, tickets here were all but gone within two hours of hitting the streets. A second and final all ages date is now on sale for Thursday 21st of June at The Gov.

Sixty’s home town of Melbourne then came to the party with the 18+ show at the HiFi Bar done and sold by early afternoon, a second date has also been announced here for Thursday 14th of June.

Overnight tickets to Melbourne, Frankston, Wollongong and Perth shows were snapped up and sold out by 8am this morning. Once again Sixty has answered the cries for more shows putting on a second and final under 18’s show on Sunday 24th of June at the Astor Theatre in Perth.

The heat around Melbourne rapper 360 is absolutely undeniable at the moment. Is there anything that Sixty can’t do? His juggernaut continues to roll on into 2012 with album ‘Falling & Flying’ reaching certified Platinum sales status and current single ‘Boys Like You ft. Gossling’ achieving Double Platinum status within the space of a week. The album itself has remained in the ARIA top 50 charts for a massive 23 weeks and has been sitting pretty in the top 10 for the last seven weeks, currently holding strong at #6. Equally as impressive single ‘Boys Like You‘ has spent 10 weeks in the ARIA top 50 singles charts – the last six weeks in the top 10, currently sitting at #5.

It’s onwards and upwards for 360, who knows what else 2012 has in store for the man. One thing we can say for sure is that if you haven’t already seen the electric live stage performance this guy puts on then you better run out and grab tickets while you still can.

Exciting times ahead for the mammoth Australian urban festival “Supafest” as they formally announced that Chris Brown, Missy Elliot, Naughty by Nature and Big Sean will be joining the already huge line up this year.

Tickets to Lady Gaga’s upcoming Australian tour hasn’t even gone on sale yet but already Live Nation, the touring company behind the Born This Way Ball has announced three additional shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The Born This Way Ball will no doubt see “Mother Monster” playing all the singles from her recent album “Born This Way”, along with tracks from her previous albums “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster”

“The Haus of Gaga and I have worked for months conceiving a spectacular stage,” she said. “The Born This Way Ball is an Electro-Metal Pop-Opera, the tale of the Beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating.”

Madonna has confirmed that she will tour Australia for the first time since her tour in 1993. Touring agent Live Nation and the Material Girl announced that her latest tour which will kick off in Tel Aviv on the 29th of May and will take dates in North America, South America, Europe as well as Australia “Where she has not performed for 20 years.”

The Australian tour dates are yet to be announced, however the North American dates have been formally announced on her official website.
