Continuing her monster year, Taylor Swift shows no signs of slowing down. The country icon turned full fledged pop-star has just announced that she¡¯ll be bringing her recently announced 1989 World Tour to Australia in December 2015!

Announcing the tour via her website, the message reads ¡°announcing THE 1989 WORLD TOUR! Kicking off in Louisiana on May 20, 2015, the tour will hit North America and Europe before heading to Australia in December 2015¡±. Listing the first set of dates for the tour, she added a second surprise for her US fans, releasing the news that she¡¯s bringing along Tripple J Hottest 100 winner, Vance Joy for the ride.

Vance Joy may seem like a strange choice for an opening act, but he and Taylor have a musical history, with T Swizzle being a vocal fan of the Melbourne musician, and even covering his massive hit, Riptide, for BBC Radio 1¡¯s Live Lounge earlier in the year.

Support acts for the Australian leg of 1989 World Tour are yet to be announced, as well as venues and dates but Taylor¡¯s website hints that it may be Canadian musician, Shawn Mendes, who is slated to appear on the tour, although its not said which leg he¡¯ll be on.

Taylor last hit our shores in support of her album, Red, in December 2013.
