From the backwoods of rural Gympie in Queensland, The Amity Affliction have gone from strength to strength since their humble beginnings as a high school garage band in 2003. Taking to the road again, these metalcore rockers are coming to a town near you for their Weigh Downunder tour in early 2015.
The boys are leaving no corner of the country untouched, making it as far as north Queensland for tropical fans and even across to the Northern Territory and Western Australia for their outback fan-base.
The tour will kick off on Thursday the 8th of January 2015 and make its way firstly to Victoria, then onto Canberra, across regional New South Wales and south-east Queensland before ending with a bang in northern Queensland, Darwin and Western Australia. The tour will officially end in Bunbury on the 31st, making it a month long expedition for the five-piece ensemble.
Byron Bay musos In Hearts Wake will also join on the tour, celebrating the release of their much-acclaimed second record ¡®Earthwalker¡¯ and are bound to be a welcome edition to the already packed lineup, including Confession and New Zealand¡¯s Antagonist AD.
The Amity Affliction have become one of Australia¡¯s proudest hardcore exports, having joined in on the Vans Warped Tour in the US last year, as well as enduring a myriad of performances across the globe. The group will have only a few short weeks of rest in December of this year after finishing their massive tour across Europe and the States on the 6th before getting geared up for an Aussie round of gigs.
