Long Beach locals Cold War Kids are next in line to announce sideshows for this years Falls Festival. The indie-blues, rock four-piece ensemble are set to treat the crowds with an extra taste of their edgy blues-rock sound at Melbourne¡¯s Hi-Fi on Monday 5th January with a back-to-back follow up performance the following evening at the Hi-Fi¡¯s sister Sydney venue.

The boy¡¯s sideshows are the perfect gear up for upcoming album release ¡®Hold My Home¡¯, which marks the fifth studio album for the band after releasing their fourth album ¡®Dear Miss Lonelyhearts¡¯ to critical acclaim in 2013. From self-producing their sound from their LA apartment pre-2004, to their first record deal with Downtown Records in 2006, Cold War Kids have been labelled the ¡°ambitious youngsters¡± to watch on the indie-front.

The group¡¯s latest release has been produced by guitarist Dan Gallucci and Lars Stalfors who has previously worked on records with the likes of Matt and Kim and Mars Volta. The first single from the new record ¡®All This Could Be Yours¡¯ dropped in July, giving fans plenty of time to amp up for the late-October release of their new tunes.

The band, who formed in 2004, have fought their way to the top of the festival scene, facing mixed critical reviews in the past. After last visiting Aussie shores in 2013 for Byron¡¯s Splendor in the Grass, Cold War Kids are not to be missed in the flesh after Falls.
