From the streets of New York, three-piece family ensemble AJR are preparing for their first Australian visit as a token of their thanks for ARIA-certified platinum sales in the country. Currently charting within the Australian Top 20, AJR¡¯s breakout track ¡®I¡¯m Ready¡¯ has proved very popular with audiences down-under and is sure to get the crowds buzzing for the anticipated release of their debut album.

Youngest brother and band member Jack Met announced the exciting news via Facebook, stating that although the visit will only be for promotional purposes, the group is very happy to meet and greet their Aussie fan-base.

AJR¡¯s eccentric sound has put them on the map; a combination of pop-funk, traditional barbershop and dub-step. The trio came to fame suddenly when band mate Ryan decided to tweet-out a copy of their homemade film-clip to dozens of celebrities, of which Australian singer-songwriter Sia picked up, listened and forwarded onto her manager. The rest is history. With Australian sales alone reaching over 70,000 in just over a month, AJR¡¯s rhythmic sound is set to be one of the standout acts of 2014. Watch this space.
