Rock legend Rod Stewart has announced that he will be returning to Australian shores in March 2015 for a string of arena shows.

The tour comes off the back of an epic summer of sold-out shows, as well as a stint at this year¡¯s Commonwealth Games which saw the 68-year-old perform for a worldwide audience of more than 1.5 billion viewers.

Frontier Touring is bringing Stewart and his ¡®Hits¡¯ to the country for a seven-date run of shows, before jetting off to New Zealand. The visit marks his first in three years.

?¡°I¡¯m thrilled to be returning to Australia and New Zealand next year,¡± said Stewart. ¡°The audiences are some of the best in the world and I¡¯m looking forward to being at my most Scottish for my first ever concert in Dunedin.¡±??

Fans can expect hits from across the seasoned singer¡¯s extensive discography, which spans over four decades. Stewart will undoubtedly perform classics such as Maggie May, You Wear It Well and You¡¯re In My Heart.

The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee previously acknowledged losing his songwriting muse over the last 20 years. However, he recently found his spark again, breaking his music dry spell with new album, Time. Released on May 7 through Capitol Records, Stewart wrote and produced 11 of the 12 tracks on the record. Featuring singles such as ¡®She Makes Me Happy¡¯ and ¡®Finest Woman¡¯, Time is a sonic collection of memories and passage of time. He wears it well.

Stewart will be joined on the road by local legend James Reyne. As an iconic artists in the Australian music landscape for over four decades, Reyne will perform hits from both Australian Crawl and his extensive solo career. Including chart-toppers such as ¡®Reckless¡¯, ¡®Boys Light Up¡¯ and ¡®Motor¡¯s Too Fast¡¯, Reyne will set the tone for a massive night of mega hits.

Tickets to this not-to-be-missed concert go on sale to the general public from 10am on Tuesday September 16 via various ticket outlets.
