She surprised us all when she brought a homeless young man as her date to the VMAs, and now Miley Cyrus has surprised fans yet again, as the headline act for the debut of Australia¡¯s iHeartRadio Festival in Sydney this October.

Already in town for the Sydney leg of her Bangerz Tour, Miley will share the stage with one half of the LMFAO duo, and recent glassing victim, Redfoo. The lineup also boasts Adelaide pop-rock trio At Sunset, Ghanaian-born Australian hip-hop artist Miracle, who will hit the road as part of 360¡¯s Utopia Tour next week, and DJ duo The Faders.

Presented by KIIS 1065 and the Dainty Group, Aussie punters will experience six hours worth of live music from 4pm on Saturday October 18 as part of the iHeartRadio Festival.

¡°We are absolutely thrilled to be working with iHeartRadio Australia to launch this brand new festival for music fans. This has been many months in the planning and we are incredibly grateful for the support of Miley Cyrus and the Australia Radio Network to bring this to life in such a massive way¡± said Chairman of Dainty Group, Paul Dainty.

The iHeartreadio Festival has run as a two-day festival since 2011 in Las Vegas, featuring performances from big names such as Drake, Kesha, Thirty seconds To Mars, Bon Jovi, Jay-Z and Green Day. The 2014 lineup also included the likes of Coldplay, Lorde, One Direction, Iggy Azalea and M?tley Cr¨¹e.

Cyrus, who took home the award for ¡®Video Of The Year¡¯ at the MTV Video Music Awards, told Kyle and Jackie O that she was excited to return Down Under.

¡°It¡¯s going to be fun for me¡± she told the radio duo. ¡°I haven¡¯t been touring there [Australia] in a while, so everyone is going to be amped up. There¡¯s going to be a good energy. I¡¯m excited for it.¡±

Meanwhile, iHeartRadio organisers have said that there will be more acts to be announced in the near future. Tickets for the pop festival go on sale this Thursday September 4 at 10am via Ticketek. Check below for more details.
