Get your grills and crunk juice ready, US rapper and DJ Lil Jon will be heading Down Under this October for a national DJ tour.

As the face of the crunk movement, Lil Jon has cemented himself as an EDM juggernaut. Often blurring the lines between rap and dance music, the rapper turned DJ has been embraced by an entire new generation of dance music fans.

Lil Jon¡¯s 2013 collaboration with DJ Snake, ¡®Turn Down For What¡¯ has grown to become somewhat of an album in the global dance world, selling almost 3,000,000 copies in the US alone. The phrase itself is popping up on social media feeds everywhere, as a new partying lexicon. A term for getting reckless and legless, ¡°Turn down for what?¡± is basically this year¡¯s answer to YOLO.

The tour will see Lil Jon bring his DJ set, which is renowned for being ¡°extremely loud and tremendously wild¡± to seven cities across Australia in a whirlwind ten-day trip. Kicking off in Cairns on Friday October 17, before heading to Brisbane¡¯s Eatons Hill Hotel the following night, the decks will stop spinning in Perth on Sunday October 26.

Lil Jon¡¯s DJ sets have become staple in the EDM club circuit, with the dreadlocked crunk-king headlining larger-than-life clubs in the US. Spinning some of the world¡¯s biggest party jams, sprinkled with some of Lil Jon¡¯s trademark flare on the mic (expect a lot of ye-ayah¡¯s! and Oh-kay¡¯s!). He will undoubtedly be popping bottles and drinking from his challis, while playing some of his popular tracks, like his new single, ¡®Bend Ova¡¯ (Feat. Tyga), which currently sits inside the top 50 on the Aussie iTunes charts.
