Country pop diva Taylor Swift has confirmed that she will hold a Yahoo global web chat early Tuesday (August 19) to ¡°announce some exciting news.¡±

Although the ¡®22¡¯ singer¡¯s lips are currently sealed, we¡¯ll take a stab in the dark and assume that she¡¯s planning to reveal details of her highly anticipated fifth album. As Swift¡¯s previous album Red was released late October two years ago, and she has unleashed a new album every two years since her debut in 2006, word on the street is that fans might be receiving more break-up ballads, lyrical low blows (directed at one Harry Styles), and poppy dance tracks, as soon as October.

Swift got rather creative when announcing the news, teasing fans with mysterious posts on her Instagram account. The first was a video of the singer pushing an elevator No.18 button repeatedly. She then tweeted a photo of her cat with the time 5:00, followed by a screenshot of the Yahoo homepage, with the caption, ¡°this is clue number 3.¡± Putting the puzzle pieces together, the livestream will be held via Yahoo! On August 18 in the US (the next day here in Australia), and will play a Yahoo sponsored concert at 5pm.

Aussie fans will have to set their alarms if they want to catch the live web chat. Those on the East Coast can check out the chat over a bowl of fruit loops at 7am, meaning 6:30am for those in Adelaide and Darwin, while Perth fans will have to sacrifice some precious beauty sleep to be up at 5am.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is set to perform at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. Announcing the news last night on ¡®The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon¡¯, the two-time VMA winner will take over the Forum Stage on Sunday August 24, joining the likes of Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea, Nikki Minaj, Beyonce, Maroon 5, Usher, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Ariana Grande, who were tipped previously to perform.
