Brisbane punk rockers Dune Rats have announced they will be hitting Aussie highways later this year for a national tour.

Still riding high from the success of their sold-out national tour earlier this year, as well as the release of their self-titled debut album, the Dunies will play a run of dates this September and October.

Released last month via Ratbag Records, the trio¡¯s latest single, ¡®Superman¡¯ is an ode to the token party animal in every Dunie mosh pit. With lyrics like, ¡°Superman,Flying through the sky for me, All my friends, Always stay and fight¡± the garage/surf rock track is, in their own words, about ¡°The deadset legends ¨C the chicks and the fellas, the mad dog of every crew, those at every show, crowd surfing ¨C to the lord and lady hellmen!¡±

Written and recorded in a beach house shed, belonging to one of their mother¡¯s, the band¡¯s debut self-titled album ¨C on which ¡®Superman¡¯ features ¨C was described by Tonedeaf as music for ¡°rocking out, making out, and throwing-up to.¡±

The three stoner-pop pied pipers will kick things off this September (Wednesday 10) in Dunsborough on the West Australian coast, before making stops in Brisbane, Canberra, Newcastle and Wollongong.

¡°On stage the guys were so loose, like absolutely sideways but it worked so well. I¡¯d have to say it would have to be the most fun I¡¯ve seen a band have onstage doing a show ever¡± said Blaire Magazine in a recent review of the Dunies¡¯ live set.
