Local metalcore outfit Confession, are hitting Aussie highways this October to play 10 shows along the east coast.

Fronted by Michael Crafter, a key player in the hardcore scene, the national tour comes in support of the band¡¯s latest album, Life And Death, which was released earlier this year by Resist Records through Cooking Vinyl.

The third album to Confession¡¯s name, Life And Death, is a personal account of the last two years of Crafter¡¯s life. Exploring themes such as, births, deaths, illnesses, friendships and love, the 11-track album features guest vocals from Ahren Stringer and Joel Birch of The Amity Affliction, Adrian Fitipaldes of Northlane and Karl Schubach of Misery Signals.

The band recently stirred controversy when they decided to advertise their first single, ¡®F**k Cancer¡¯ on posters. ¡°It¡¯s making an impact, it¡¯s making a statement¡± said Crafter. ¡°These people are seeing it everyday for the next few days or weeks, and yeah, they may be a bit offended, but they may look at the band, have a look at the film clip, and they¡¯ll read the lyrics and they¡¯ll read about what I¡¯m talking about.¡±

With lyrics like, ¡°F**k cancer, I will scream these words loud/For the ones we¡¯ve lost, for the people taken down¡± the music video for the track has garnered almost 94,000 views.

Confession will be joined on the road by local progressive metalcore outfit Prepared Like A Bride, and Wollongong 5-piece, Graves.

Kicking off on Wednesday October 6 at the Gold Coast¡¯s Shark Bar, the heavy bands will slash their way across Australia¡¯s east coast before finally closing the curtains in Melbourne three weeks later.

Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday (August 8) through various ticket outlets. So get your two-step and windmill ready. See you in the pit!
