Last week, Triple J tempted listeners with the promise of a ¡°mystery¡± tour announcement on The Doctor¡¯s segment. Alas, the mystery has been solved, with the unveiling of two Alt-J shows in October.

The acclaimed UK band will play two shows, one on Monday October 6 at Melbourne¡¯s The Forum and the other at Sydney¡¯s Enmore Theatre the following night. The brief tour will mark the band¡¯s first Australian dates since their slot as the ¡°mystery band¡± at last year¡¯s Splendour In The Grass.

Alt-J come bearing gifts, with a slew of new tracks from their new album, This Is All Yours, which was released last week through Liberator/Infectious Music.

With an album The Guardian describes as: ¡°a momentous and shadowy return,¡± Alt-J will be joined by 24-year-old Perth artist Grace (better known as Grace Woodroofe). She has worked with producers Sam Spiegal (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), and Dan Hume (Alpine) on her forthcoming release, so she will surely suit Alt-J¡¯s tastes.

Tickets go on sale to the general public from 9am on Thursday August 28. However, a Frontier Members pre-sale will see fans able to snag tickets three days earlier (August 25) from 2pm (AEST). Last time the Leeds indie outfit sold out in five minutes, so be sure to get in quick to get your hands on a ticket. Check below for further details.
