Footage of an altercation between The Story So Far frontman, Parker Cannon and an overzealous member of security at the Montreal leg of Vans Warped Tour has surfaced.

According to the Alternative Press, the pop-punk luminaries were in the middle of performing the introduction to ¡®Daughters¡¯ when a security guard ¨C seen wearing a black bucket hat ¨C allegedly manhandled a crowd-surfer, shoving the fan to the ground.

Clearly observing the security guard¡¯s excessive use of force, the band¡¯s members took matters into their own hands. Immediately TSSF guitarist, Will Levy stopped playing and removed his guitar while Cannon leapt of the stage to go fist-to-fist with the guard.

The scuffle, also involving Four Year Strong vocalist Alan Day and several security guards who repeatedly told Cannon to ¡°relax¡±, lasted only moments. The band then returned to the stage to finish the set.

Following the controversial set, the band took to Twitter to thank fans for their enthusiasm, side-stepping the incident.

¡°Thank you Canada!! We love you! We will be back soon¡± wrote the band.

Warped Tour promoter Kevin Lyman followed suit, tweeting that there would be an investigation into the incident and that footage had been shared with ¡°the local security company¡± to ¡°be dealt with.¡±

He went on to say: ¡°Understand at each show the local venue has over 100 local security, we do our best to work with them, sometimes there is a bad egg.¡±

Despite his reluctance to take sides, Lyman seemed to side with the band when he responded to a follower, saying: ¡°No one said he [Parker Cannon] was wrong.¡±

Pop-punk is known for its circle pits, pizza, and piercings. However, following last week¡¯s brawl, it¡¯s all about Parker Cannon. Defending pop-punk, literally, with his fists.
