Brace yourselves. The Stereosonic 2014 lineup is here, and for those of you who are turning 18 soon, this year¡¯s mega-festival boasts some of the biggest names in dance music right now, including: Skrillex, Calvin Harris, Diplo and Disclosure.
Last year, Stereosonic organisers stepped up and spread the festival over two days ¨C double the DJs and dance music jams. This year will follow suit, with Stereosonic¡¯s Day One lineup for 2014 led by hit-maker Calvin Harris, superstar DJ Tiesto, Major Lazer head honcho and producer Diplo and a DJ set by Disclosure. Stereosonic have also secured Skrillex ¨C who was set to play the festival in 2013 before being forced to pull out ¨C who will headline Day Two with some bass-dropping beats for Aussie fans. The Bangarang-coiner will be joined by Swedish heavyweight Alesso and cake-throwing electro house DJ Steve Aoki.
If the headliners aren¡¯t enough to get you planning your outfit or pumping more iron at the gym, then just look at the supporting acts. Other acts on the bill include the man behind the anthem ¡®Turn Down For What¡¯ DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, Carl Cox, Nina Craviz, RL Grime and Duke Dumont.
This year¡¯s homegrown talent will include the electro music duo behind the infectious party anthem ¡®High¡¯, Peking Duk, Nina Las Vegas, Alison Wonderland, Will Sparks, Joel Fletcher, What So Not and many more.
Back in February, organisers confirmed that the Stereosonic banquet of dance music acts would be spread across two days, to bring ¡°the greatest EDM lineup Australia has ever seen¡± to life once more.
Tickets are available to punters via Ticketmaster, with the Ticketmaster member pre-sale kicks off 8pm EST Wednesday July 30. General public tickets are on sale from 8pm EST Tuesday August 5.
