Aussie rapper and PETA¡¯s ¡®Ink Not Mink¡¯ poster boy, 360, has announced that Los Angeles native Hopsin will be joining him for his 2014 Utopia Tour.
360 recently asked fans to unite and contact Hopsin in order to convince the Los Angeles MC to join him on the bill for his national tour this September. It seems that fan¡¯s incessant Facebook pleas were heard, because Hopsin agreed, and Sixty¡¯s dream became reality.
¡°A few weeks ago I asked you guys to hit up Hopsin and see if he¡¯s down to do this tour with me in September¡ and its [sic] official, Hopsin is coming!! Thanks for helping me out, I got a good fanbase [sic] We will be announcing more supports in the morning,¡± wrote 360 on Facebook.
Hopsin, 28, is renowned for his powerful lyrical content and has been compared to a young Eminem. The young MC goes against the grain of modern hip-hop, using his music as a way to address the need for social change among American black youth, rather than spitting rhymes about sex and the streets.
The Utopia Tour will see the pair of hip-hop titans play nine dates across the country, and comes following the release of Sixty¡¯s third album, Utopia, an album which immerses listeners in a unique world of music ¨C covering a wide scope of topics from ¡°selling out¡±, getting sober, depression and ¡°some light-hearted s**t.¡±
However, Hopsin is one of four support acts confirmed to share the stage with 360. The unstoppable Aussie force will be joined by Brit rapper Lunar C, Gossling (who lent her pipes to 360¡¯s chart-topper ¡®Boys Like You¡¯), 360¡®s long-time collaborator Pez and Ghana-born Australian rapper Miracle.
The tour will kick off in Canberra on Wednesday September 3. Tickets are on sale now, so check below for more tour and ticket info.
