Soundwave Promoter AJ Maddah has taken to Twitter to call on fans to show their support in light of the Adelaide City Council (ACC) ¡®Your Say Adelaide¡¯ forum page.

According to Maddah, the ACC are looking to ¡°get rid of Soundwave 2015¡± and have refused to give the festival the go ahead until they are satisfied with the feedback they receive from the public, concerning the lease proposal, on their ¡®Your Say Adelaide¡¯ page.

The hard and heavy festival was originally set to hit Bonython Park/Tulya Wardli in Adelaide on Saturday February 21 and Sunday February 22. However, new noise restrictions for ¡°high-risk events¡± such as Soundwave in Adelaide have put a spanner in the works.

Maddah is appealing to fans to head over to the page and ¡°show your support in a respectful manner.¡± He went on to say that ¡°it would be sad to lose Adelaide,¡± as he describes it as his favourite leg of the Soundwave circuit.

The ¡®Your Say Adelaide¡¯ initiative allows the public to speak directly with the Adelaide City Council members, and express the significance that Soundwave festival holds for Adelaide punters. Maddah also urges fans, who wish to have their say, to disclose their Adelaide state address on the page, and for those who travel from other states to Adelaide Soundwave to ¡°state that clearly.¡± More information can be found on the ACC FAQ page.

On a more positive note, the council¡¯s FAQ page unveiled the possible logo for Soundwave 2015. Earlier this year, Maddah hinted at a comic book theme for Soundwave in the future. Hence, with the ¡°Soundwave XV¡± title written in a Superman-esque font, it would seem that this year might be the year to indulge the fantasies of DC and Marvel fans out there ¨C combining music and comic books.

Meanwhile, bands likely to feature on the Soundwave lineup continue to flood in. Maddah recently confirmed Melbourne hardcore outfit Confession will join the possible starters Fear Factory, Against Me!, Conditions and Ne Obliviscaris. Word on the street is that Chicago punk band Rise Against might also make an appearance at this year¡¯s festival, after frontman Tim McIlrath told triple j that the band will return to Aussie shores ¡°February, March¡ early 2015.¡±

New comments by Maddah also suggest that the full Soundwave 2015 lineup could be unveiled as early as next week, meaning tickets will be available for purchase two weeks later.

¡°My guess is around Aug 20 give or take a few days¡± Maddah tweeted, when asked by a follower when tickets for next year¡¯s festival would go on sale.
