Aussie hardcore heavyweights The Amity Affliction have announced a national tour off the back of the release of their latest album Let The Ocean Take Me.

The local guys will play a string of shows in late August to early September in what will be their biggest headline tour to date. They will be joined by some big names, including UK metal-core act Architects, Atlanta outfit Issues, Long Island act Stray From The Path and Melbourne partycore dudes Deez Nuts.

The band hits the road this August in light of the release of their fourth album, Let The Ocean Take Me, which was released last week via Roadrunner Records and is the follow-up to 2012¡¯s Gold Certified hit Chasing Ghosts.

Although Amity, are widely known for their personal lyrical content ¨C with themes such as depression and suicide ¨C the new album is thought to be the most honest record to date. The album takes listeners on a journey through depression, anxiety and eventual self-discovery. With lyrics like, ¡°Well don¡¯t lean on me, ¡®cause I am falling, please don¡¯t fall with me,¡± second single, ¡®Don¡¯t Lean On Me¡¯ begs the subject not to go down with them into their depths of despair.

The Brisbane boys will bring tracks from Let The Ocean Take Me, as well as songs dating back to Severed Ties, to iconic stages such as Sydney¡¯s Hordern Pavilion and Festival Hall in Melbourne. As the last three tours saw the band selling out multiple nights in each city, the guys suggest you get in quick before you miss out.

General tickets go on sale at 9am Friday 20th June, with VIP pre-sale available 9am on Thursday 19th June.
