British singer-songwriter Ella Eyre has unveiled the music video for her debut single, ¡®If I Go¡¯.

Best known for her collaborations with big names such as Rudimental and Naughty Boy, the 20-year-old singer is now cementing herself as a solo artist.

¡°I want my music to be ballsy; I want everything I do to be powerful and full of energy,¡± said Ella Eyre. With lyrics like, ¡°And I need time, and I need space/I need to live without your face,¡± Eyre¡¯s sassiness ¨C and raspy, soulful vocals ¨C are reminiscent of Adele and Jessie J.

The music video sees the wild-maned songstress performing in a revolving living room with two male dancers; which are assumed to be love interests.

If her growling vocals sound familiar, it¡¯s probably because Eyre lent her vocals to Rudimental¡¯s hit ¡®Waiting All Night¡¯ last year, for which she won a Brit Award at this year¡¯s event, as well as achieving runner-up for the Brits Choice Award.

The BRIT School graduate released her solo debut Deeper EP in December last year, which earned her much critical acclaim.

Drawing on raw, personal experiences such as unrequited love, the singer describes her music as ¡°soulful pop¡±. ¡°I¡¯ve always wanted to hit people in the face with my music, rather than tickle them,¡± Eyre told Clash Magazine.

¡°If I was to describe my music as a colour, it would be red ¨C it¡¯s loud, energetic, brutal, brutally honest at some points, and vulnerable, too.¡±

¡®If I Go¡¯ is due out Friday June 13, with her debut album set to follow later this year ¨C the title for which is yet to be announced. The album may be nameless, however Eyre has confirmed that the tracks will be lyrically vulnerable, while maintaining the sassiness that oozes from her debut single. She will also refrain from collaborating with other artists, as she would like to establish herself as a solo artist.
