American punk-rock band, Fall Out Boy has announced that they will be returning to Australia for a second time this year! It seems we have made quite an impression on them after their brief Sydney and Melbourne shows earlier in the year.

The return is coming off the band releasing their fifth studio album, Save Rock And Roll, which has been met with critical acclaim and reaching number two on the ARIA Charts. It is the band¡¯s first album in three years, following a period of hiatus.

Speaking to MTV, front man Pete Wentz said that ¡°the break did the band good¡± when they reunited. ¡°There¡¯s a little bit of new energy,¡± he said. ¡°Right now it¡¯s fresh and it¡¯s just a matter of keeping it fresh.¡± ¡°The album is Fall Out Boy in its most concise form. It¡¯s sonically different because it¡¯s been recorded differently.¡±

Wentz said he and the band were excited to be touring across Australia. ¡°Each city has their own presence and how they react,¡± Wentz revealed. ¡°It¡¯s cool to come across over here and jam¡ we have fun.¡±

Whether the new material will be used in the shows is yet to be revealed, but the band did say they were working with the legendary Ryan Adams in the studio, as well as announcing their supporting act for the tour: Melbourne¡¯s own British India.
